On January 26, 2023 at 3:02 A.M., the Secaucus Police responded on a call of an armed robbery at the Aloft Hotel, 460 Harmon Meadow Boulevard. It became known that the victims met with Nyshiem O. Inmon in their hotel room and a short time later Lyemel Summerville and another male, entered the hotel room while brandishing handguns. Three of the victims were held against their will in the bathroom of the hotel room. However, when one of the victims refused to enter the bathroom he was stabbed in his upper leg by Nyshiem O. Inmon. Despite an exhasutive search by the Secaucus Police K-9 Unit and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, Nyshiem O. Inmon and his accomplices fled the area with approximately $20,000.00 of the victims’ cash in a getaway vehicle that was waiting in the parking lot, operated by Russell Francis.
Intial responding police officers located one of the victims in the lobby of the hotel bleeding heavily from an arterial bleed on his leg. Police Officer Dwight Wise immediately applied a torniquet to the victim’s leg to control the bleeding, presumably saving his life. The victim was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center where he treated and released.
