The Secaucus Police Department is dedicated to become a union with our community of citizens by demonstrating respect, courtesy and compassion. An ever-present willingness to promote a trusting atmosphere between our police officers and individual citizens, community groups and business associations. These alliances are created through better communication, interacting, listening and responding to our citizens. We strive to build an environment built upon dignity and mutual respect for every individual in our community while remaining accessible to all whom choose to live, work or visit in the Town of Secaucus. At all times we will provide a high level of service consistent with public expectations. We will develop an enhanced quality-of-life through community partnerships involving both the juveniles and adults of this municipality. We choose to go the extra mile to provide special services with a personal touch.
On April 20, 2021 the Secaucus Police Department will begin to phase in Body Worn Cameras. Prior to the end of May 2021, all Uniformed Patrol Officers will be equipped with Body Worn Cameras.

The Secaucus Police Department will be part of a national campaign from May 19th – Jun 1, 2025. Click It or Ticket is a national high-visibility enforcement campaign that focuses specifically on the consequences of not wearing a seat belt while urging riders to always buckle up. This campaign highlights law enforcement’s goal of encouraging drivers and passengers to wear seat belts and to spread awareness about the increased police presence on our nation’s roads during this period.
In 2023, 10,484 passenger vehicle occupants killed in crashes were not wearing seat belts. Among the young adults (18 to 34) passenger vehicle occupants killed in 2023, 60% were unbuckled — one of the highest percentages for all age groups.
Always place the shoulder belt across the middle of your chest and away from your neck, and place the lap belt across your hips, not your stomach. You should never put the shoulder belt behind your back or under your arm.
The Secaucus Police Department and NHTSA urge all drivers to always buckle up.
