Blotter 01/15/2024-01/21/2024

On 01/16/2024 at 4:10 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a burglary that occurred on 10/06/2023 at 400 Plaza Drive, the police arrested a 37-year-old male, Jonathan Roman of Paterson, NJ for Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)] and Theft [2C:20-3A]. Roman was taken into custody at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Rd after he entered Headquarters for the purpose of turning himself in. Mr. Roman was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 01/18/2024 at 8:58 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Extended Stay America located at 1 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a child who was ill after ingesting a marijuana edible. During the investigation, at 10:29 AM on that same date, the police arrested a 26-year-old male along with a 17-year-old-female of Secaucus, NJ for Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)]. The male was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.  The juvenile female was issued her juvenile complaint summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 01/19/2024 at 1:42 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 46-year-old male, Reynaldo Carpio of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Hudson County Superior Court Chancery Division with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $50.00. Jersey City did release Mr. Carpio on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Carpio was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office.

On 01/20/2024 at 11:13 PM, Secaucus Police responded to AJ’s located at 201 Secaucus Road on a report of an individual who made several threats to “shoot up” the establishment. During the investigation, the police arrested a 26-year-old male, Sebastian Flores of Jersey City, NJ for Terroristic Threats [2C:12-3A] and Terroristic Threats [2C:12-3B]. Flores was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
