Blotter 01/08/2024-01/14/2024

On 01/08/2024 at 4:20 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 38-year-old male, Mario Alcantara-Nava of Passaic, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)]. Alcantara-Nava was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 01/10/2024 at 1:45 PM, Secaucus Police responded to UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of an employee theft. During the investigation, the police arrested a 31-year-old male, Jeancarlo Borrero of Jersey City, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Borrero was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 01/10/2024 at 8:22 PM, Secaucus Police responded to 5000 Riverside Station Boulevard on a report of a suspicious person who was acting aggressive toward the staff. During the investigation, the police arrested a 38-year-old male, Jorge Bernabe of Little Ferry, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ with no bail. Bernabe was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 01/11/2024 at 9:46 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County Courthouse to take into custody a 24-year-old female, Elisse Motley of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $600.00. Motley was also found to have 3 outstanding warrants issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $2,100.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bridgewater, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Watchung, NJ in the amount of $550.00. Both the Newark and the Bridgewater released Ms. Motley on her own recognizance pending a future court dates.  Ms. Motley was unable to post bail for the remaining outstanding warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 01/12/2024 at 3:49 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27-year-old female, Xena Forty of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Kearny, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Parsippany, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Washington Township, NJ in the amount of $500.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Parsippany, NY in the amount of $250.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hoboken, NJ in the amount of $74.00. Forty was released on her own recognizance in relation to the outstanding warrants issued out of Washington Township, NJ along with the outstanding warrants issued out of Hoboken, NJ and the outstanding warrant issued out of Parsippany, NJ in the amount of $250.00. Ms. Forty was unable to post bail for the remaining outstanding warrants. Officers from the Kearny Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Ms. Forty for transport back to their authority.

On 01/12/2024 at 6:28 AM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit in relation to a Burglary that occurred into multiple motor vehicles at 1 Meadowlands Parkway on 11/28/2023, the police arrested an 18-year-old male, Malahki Isaac of Newark, NJ for Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)], Theft [2C:20-3A] and Conspiracy to commit Burglary [2C:5-2A(1)]. Isaac was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail.  

On 01/12/2024 at 5:51 PM, Secaucus Police responded to 400 Plaza Drive on a report of a suspicious person who was not authorized to be on the premises. During the investigation, the police arrested a 37-year-old male, Jonathan Roman of Paterson, NJ for Criminal Trespass [2C:18-3A]. Roman was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 01/13/2024 at 3:00 PM, in relation to a recovered stolen motor vehicle that occurred on Wood Avenue on 01/10/2024, the police arrested a 22-year-old male, Yoel Diaz Reyes of Passaic, NJ for Receiving Stolen Property, specifically a motor vehicle [2C:20-10.2A].  Mr. Reyes was taken into custody at the Meadowlands Plaza Hotel located at 40 Wood Avenue.  Mr. Diaz Reyes was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
