Blotter 12/25/2023-12/31/2023

On 12/25/2023 at 9:05 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 69-year-old female, Margarita Reynolds of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated.  Ms. Reynolds was also charged with Assault by Auto [2C:12-1C(2)].  Ms. Reynolds was issued her motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 3 additional motor vehicle summonses and her complaint summons and was released into the custody of responsible adult.   

On 12/26/2023 at 10:33 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the 7000 Building of Riverside Station Boulevard on a report of an individual in distress.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 29-year-old male, Edward Ramirez of Secaucus, NJ for Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer [2C:12-1B(5)], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-3A(3)(A) and Simple Assault [2C:12-1A(1)].  Mr. Ramirez was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.  

On 12/27/2023 at 12:54 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 32-year-old male, Joel Hernandez of Teaneck, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $600.00.  Mr. Hernandez was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody. 

On 12/27/2023 at 4:34 PM, Secaucus Police responded to UPS located at 493 County Avenue on a report of a theft.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 23-year-old male, Aqeal Raja of Hackensack, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A].  Mr. Raja was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody. 

On 12/28/2023 at 3:23 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 31-year-old male, Nana Boakye of Brooklyn, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Obstruction the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A] and Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(2)].  Mr. Boakye was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Atlantic City, NJ in the amount of $350.00.  Mr. Boakye was released on his own recognizance by the Atlantic City, pending a future court date.  Mr. Boakye was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 12/28/2023 at 4:17 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Kohls located at 3 Mill Creek Drive on a report of a shoplifting.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 25-year-old male, Mauricio Calderon-Gonzales of New York, NY along with a 33-year-old male, Amador Calizaya-Guinocch of Paterson, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)] and Possession of Anti-Shoplifting Device [2C:20-11F].  Both Mr. Calderon-Gonzales along with Mr. Calizaya-Guinocch were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody. 

On 12/29/2023 at 10:10 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 30-year-old male, Arcenio Lopez of Rutherford, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Clifton, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option.  Mr. Lopez was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody. 

On 12/31/2023 at 7:47 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 50-year-old male, Marco Tapiarangel of North Bergen, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50].  Mr. Tapiarangel was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 6 motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
