Score one for the people who legitimately need handicapped parking spaces -- and not those with a severe case of "the munchies."

A 20-year-old man from Jersey City was issued three summonses in the Sam's Club/Walmart parking lot in Secaucus after police detected a strong odor of marijuana and saw him and two others loading groceries into a car parked in a handicapped space on Aug. 14, Secaucus police Capt. Dennis Miller said.

The 20-year-old, who was also arrested on an outstanding $100 warrant, was cited for unauthorized use of handicapped ID card, handicapped parking and operation of a motor vehicle while in possession of CDS.

A 19-year-old with him was charged with marijuana possession, issued a summons and released, Miller said.  A juvenile also with the two men was left in custody of a responsible adult.
