The Secaucus Police Department and Meadowlands Hospital EMS are adequately staffed to handle all emergency calls. We ask all motorists to stay off the roads and let the DPW and DOT do their jobs and clear the roadways. Visibility is poor and snow is accumulating, which are major causes for motor vehicle crashes. As of this email, we have handled several motor vehicle crashes and disabled vehicles, as a result of the snow. We also ask all residents to obey all snow emergency parking signs so their streets can be cleared of the snow. We remind all residents that snow should not be thrown into the streets. Questions regarding garbage pickup and snowplowing should be directed to Secaucus DPW @ 201-330-2080.
If residents’ household power goes out they should call PSEG @ 800-436-7734 . However, residents that are suffering from health conditions (e.g. oxygen dependent etc.) should call the Secaucus Police @ 201-330-2060 so we could assist them and ensure their safety.
If any trees fall or wires go down, PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THEM, as they may be live electrical lines. For these type of issues immediately call the Secaucus Police @ 201-330-2060. For Police, Fire, EMS emergencies please call 9-1-1.
