A Passaic County woman was arrested last week when she left her 13-month-old daughter in her car while she was shopping, police said.

Kiniurka Ramos, 28, of Haledon, went into Marshall's on Mill Creek Drive and left the toddler in her car, Secaucus Capt. Dennis Miller said. A passerby found the baby crying in the car and the police were called.

The doors of the car were locked and the car was running at the time, police say. After finding the child in the car, officers made an announcement on the PA system in the store.
