Police Blotter 05/01/2023-05/07/2023

On 05/01/2023 at 11:21 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 27-year-old male, Eduardo Martinez of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)].  Mr. Martinez was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 05/02/2023 at 4:33 PM, a 65-year-old male, Andrew Kiernan of Secaucus, NJ entered Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road for the purpose of returning items that were reported stolen earlier in the day at the Meadowlands Plaza Hotel located at 40 Wood Avenue.  Mr. Kiernan was placed under arrest and charged with Theft of Property Lost/Mislaid [2C:20-6].  Mr. Kiernan was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 05/02/2023 at 3:55 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Kohl’s located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 28-year-old female, Analisa Colon of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3A(7)] for providing false information to the police.  Further investigation revealed that Ms. Colon was also involved in a shoplifting incident at T.J. Maxx located at 3 Millcreek Drive.  Ms. Colon was additionally charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] for the shoplifting at T.J. Maxx.  Ms. Colon was issued 2 complaint warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 05/03/2023 at 4:15 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 48-year-old male, Mark Luglio of Union City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)].  Mr. Luglio was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 05/05/2023 at 5:05 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 36 year old male, Colin Hogan of New Milford, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], specifically an Axe, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], specifically a six-pointed sharp star, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], specifically a Butterfly Knife and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D], specifically a Rainbow colored Knife.  Mr. Hogan was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 05/06/2023 at 12:33 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Legends Diner located at 130 County Avenue on a report of Theft of Services after an individual left the diner without paying for his meal.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 33-year-old male, Abdul Franklin of Brooklyn, NY for Theft of Services [2C:20-8A].  Mr. Franklin was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 05/06/2023 at 3:03 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of 5th Street and Centre Avenue on a report of an individual pulling on vehicle door handles.  During the investigation, the police arrested a 51-year-old male, Sean Lawless of Rutherford, NJ for Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)] and Criminal Attempt of Burglary [2C:5-1A(1)].  Mr. Lawless was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 05/06/2023 at 11:35 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Buffalo Wild Wings located at 470 Harmon Meadow Boulevard on a report of a found wallet.  After speaking with the victim, it was found that the wallet was missing money.  During the follow up investigation on 05/07/2023 at 01:51 AM, the police responded back to Buffalo Wild Wings and arrested a 29-year-old male, Nicholas Georgetti of North Bergen, NJ for Theft of Property Lost/Mislaid [2C:20-6].  Mr. Georgetti was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
