A sticky-fingered Hoboken senior citizen was caught trying to steal from the Home Depot in Secaucus for the third time in the past 18 months, authorities said.
Eugenio Brito-Comendador, 79, was charged with shoplifting, possession of burglar tools and defiant trespass for the Sept. 19 incident, Secaucus police Capt. Dennis Miller said.
Miller said Brito-Comendador tried to leave the Paterson Plank Road store after he put two DeWalt adjustable pliers and a Husky chisel scraper in his waistband.
