A Secaucus home suffered extensive damage in a blaze early Monday that spread to the home next door, authorities said.

The fire at 250 Hagan Place was reported at 3:19 a.m. and when Secaucus firefighters arrived the structure was fully engulfed in flames. The home at 244 Hagan Place caught fire and also suffered damage, Secaucus police Capt. Dennis Miller said.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, which is believed to have started in the rear of 250 Hagan Place, outside the home. Miller said both the cause and the origin are under investigation. The fire was placed under control at 4:32 a.m., Milller said.

Fire departments from Jersey City and Rutherford assisted Secaucus firefighters, Miller said.
