On July 3rd at 9:30 am during a Motor Vehicle stop (Tinted Windows) a 22yo male Taiwon Robinson was arrested for Hindering his own Apprehension [2C:29-3B (4)], Possession of Fireworks [21:3-2], and 2 outstanding warrants totaling $250.00 from Jersey City. Mr. Robinson posted bail, was issued 2 MV summonses (Tinted Windows, Driving While Suspended) then released.

On July 3rd at 4:39 pm Secaucus Police were detailed to Morris County Correctional Facility to take custody of a 48yo male, Luis Vincent of Paterson on an outstanding warrant from Secaucus. Mr. Vincent had a total of 4 warrants in the amount of $2400.00 from Secaucus, Elmwood Park, and Paterson. Mr. Vincent was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On July 4th at 12:18 pm while on patrol, Secaucus Police arrested a 28yo male, Christopher Bann of Secaucus on Possession of Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-6A] and being Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance [2C:35-10B]. Mr. Bann was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On July 4th at 7:03 pm Secaucus Police were detailed to Ridgefield PD to take custody of a 44yo male, Fredrick Rupp of Fairview for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $1060.00 from Secaucus, and $728.00 from East Rutherford. Mr. Rupp was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On July 5th at 1:00 pm Secaucus Police were detailed to Neptune PD to take custody of a 26yo male, Jason Louis of Irvington for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $800.00 from Secaucus. Mr. Louis was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On July 5th at 3:00 pm, during a motor vehicle stop for maintenance of lamps, Jake Purkal, 30 of La Porte, IN was found in possession of drug paraphernalia. During that stop Bradley Daugherty, 28 of Chaffee, MO was also arrested after being found in possession of drug paraphernalia and a quantity of marijuana. Jake Purkal was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2] and issued 3 motor vehicle summonses (Maintenance of Lamps, Unregistered Vehicle and Driving while Suspended). Bradley Daugherty was charged with Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10a(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Both were issued summonses and released.

On July 5th at 9:56 pm during a Motor Vehicle stop (Failure to Signal Turn) a 51yo male Gerald Cain of Jersey City was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $100.00 from Jersey City. Mr. Cain posted bail and released. The backseat passenger 41yo male, Carlos Gonzalez of East Orange was arrested for Hindering/Resisting [2C:29-3B(4)], and 5 outstanding warrants for $750.00 from Fairfield, and Millburn Township and NCIC No Bail warrants from Morris County, Wharton. Mr. Gonzalez was issued a MV summons (Failure to Wear Seatbelt) and Morris County Sheriff’s Office arrived to take custody.

On July 6th at 8:51 am during a Motor Vehicle stop (Careless Driving), a 27yo female, Nafessa Wheeler of Orange was arrested for 2 outstanding warrants totaling $139.00 from Orange. Ms. Wheeler posted bail, was issued 2 MV summonses (Carless Driving, Obstruction of View) then released.

On July 6th at 4:25 pm during a Motor Vehicle stop, a 29yo male, Jose Cordero of Passaic was arrested for 2 outstanding warrants in the amount of $1500.00 from Passaic and Saddle Brook, and Hindering his own Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)]. Bail was posted in the full amount, and Mr. Cordero was issued 6 MV summonses (Fictitious Plates, Driving with Suspended License, Obstructed Windshield, Improper Display, Unlicensed Driver, Driving Unregistered Vehicle) and released.

On July 7th at 12:55 am Secaucus Police took custody from Jersey City PD a 46yo male, Tony Eli of Newark on an outstanding warrant in the amount of $500.00 from Secaucus. In addition, Mr. Eli had 3 outstanding warrants in the amount of $1202.00 from West Caldwell, Hasbrouck Heights and North Bergen. Mr. Eli was not able to post bail and was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On July7th at 8:57 am during a Motor Vehicle stop, a 26yo female, Marcelina Howe of Harrison was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Ms. Howe was processed, issued 3 MV summonses, (Littering from a Motor Vehicle, Unregistered Vehicle, Failure to Possess Insurance Card) then released.

On July 7th at 6:49 pm Police were dispatched to Walmart on a call of Shoplifting. A 18yo male, Angel Escalera and a 13yo juvenile male both of Elizabeth were arrested for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B] $1168.88 of Legos. Mr. Escalera was additionally charged with Conspiracy [2C:5-2], Endangering Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A] and Employing a Minor in Crime [2C:24-9A]. The juvenile was released to a family member. Mr. Escalera was processed and transported to Hudson County Jail.

On July 9th at 9:54am during a Motor Vehicle stop a 38yo male, Felipe Mauricio Pinos of Jersey City was arrested for an outstanding No Bail warrant from Jersey City. Mr. Pinos was issued 3 MV summonses (Failure to Keep Right, Obstruction of Windshield, and Driving with Expired License) then transported to Jersey City Police Dept.

On July 9th at 12:01pm during Patrol, Secaucus Police observed a vehicle parked in a No Parking Fire Zone area in the CVS Parking lot. Upon investigation, a 32yo male Roberto Gonzalez of Union City was arrested for an outstanding No Bail warrant from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Dept. Mr. Gonzalez was transported to Hudson County Jail.
