Police Blotter 10/01/18 – 10/07/18

On 10/02/2018 at 5:00 PM, while on patrol in the area of 1 Meadowlands Parkway the Secaucus Police arrested a 37 year old female, Jennifer Esser of Glen Cove, NY for an outstanding warrant out of Ridgefield Park, NJ in the amount of $500.00.  Ms. Esser posted bail and was released from custody. 

 

On 10/03/2018 at 9:36 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, the Secaucus Police arrested a 43 year old male, Larry Fernandez of Newark, NJ for 1 warrant out of Kearny, NJ in the amount of $2500.00 and 1 warrant from North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $120.00.  Mr. Fernandez posted bail for both warrants and was released from custody. 

 

On 10/04/2018 at 1:34 AM, the North Bergen Police Department transported a 36 year old male, Randy Suarez of West New York, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $400.00.  Mr. Suarez also had 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $250.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Guttenberg, NJ in the amount of $250.00.  Mr. Suarez posted bail and was released from custody. 

 

On 10/04/2018 at 4:46 PM, Wood Ridge Police Department transported a 45 year old male, Felix Aviles of Bayonne, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants out of Secaucus, NJ for a total amount of $2,000.00.  Mr. Aviles posted bail and was released from custody.

 

On 10/04/2018 at 9:22 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Port Authority Police Department to take custody of a 26 year old male, Vincent Thomas of Lumberton, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants out of Secaucus, NJ for a total amount of $2500.00.  During the transport to the Hudson County Jail, Mr. Thomas caused damage to the rear of the police vehicle and was further charged with Criminal Mischief [2C:17-3A(1)].  Mr. Thomas was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

 

On 10/05/2018 at 1:45 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Atlantic County Jail to take custody of a 37 year old female, Sheila Justiniano of Las Vegas, NV for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ with a bail amount of $2,500.00.  Ms. Justiniano was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.   

    

On 10/07/2018 at 1:23 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 33 year old male, Nicholas Rivera of Ridgefield, NJ for an outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department.  Mr. Rivera was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. 

 

On 10/07/2018 at 10:57 AM, Secaucus Police responded on a report of a motor vehicle accident in the area of Humboldt Street.  During the investigation the police arrested a 25 year old male, Timothy Holloway Jr. of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Under the Influence [39:4-50], Reckless Driving [39:4-96] and Being under the Influence of CDS believed to be marijuana [2C:35-10B].  Mr. Holloway was issued his summonses and was released to the custody of a responsible adult. 

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On April 17 at 9:13 during a Motor Vehicle stop, a 25yo male, Raciel Castillo of Harrison was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $81.00 out of Teaneck. Mr. Castillo was able to post bail issued a summons (Maintenance of Lamps) and released.

On April 18th at 3:54 pm during a Motor Vehicle stop, a 24yo female, Hiba Noubani of Totowa was arrested for 2 outstanding warrants totaling $564.00 out of Little Falls and Woodland Park. Ms. Noubani was able to post bail, issued 2 summonses (Maintenance of Lamps, Driving While Suspended) and released.

On April 19th at 11:00am Secaucus Police were detailed to Essex County Jail to pick up a 53yo female Kathleen Chabinski Khan of Lyndhurst, who was being detained for an outstanding warrant from Secaucus in the amount of $500.00. Additional investigation found Ms., Chabinski Khan had outstanding warrant for $100.00 out of Jersey City as well. Ms. Chabinski was transported to Hudson County Jail.

On April 19th at 6:07pm during a Motor Vehicle Stop, a 22yo male, Moises Hernandez of Union City was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $100.00 out of Jersey City. The passenger in vehicle, 19yo male, Stewart Umanzor of West New York was found to have an outstanding warrant in the amount of $100.00 out of West New York. Both parties were transported to Headquarters where they posted bail and released. Mr. Hernandez was issued a summons for Tinted Windows.

In March and April the Secaucus Police received several reports of stolen property from Retro Fitness in Secaucus. Investigation conducted by the Detective Division on April 19th at 4:00 pm lead to a 40yo male, Michael Roth of Wayne bring charged with 2 counts of Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A] and 3 counts of Fraudulent use of Credit Card [2C:21-6H].

On April 20th at 8:46am during a Motor Vehicle Stop (Improper Safety Glass) a 37yo female, Cherron Wade of Jersey City was arrested for an outstanding warrant in the amount of $300.00 from Jersey City. Ms. Wade was able to post bail, issued 3 Motor Vehicle summonses (Tinted Windows, Driving While Suspended and for Open Container of Alcohol) and released.

On April 20th at 4:44pm during a Motor Vehicle stop(Maintenance of Lamps) a 21yo male, Christopher Santiago-Penalo of Prospect Park was arrested after being found in possession of a quantity of marijuana. He was charged with Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)], and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Santiago-Penalo was processed issued 2 Motor Vehicle summonses (Maintenance of Lamps and Possession of CDS while Operating a Motor Vehicle) and transported to Hudson County Jail.

On April 20th at 8:30 pm, Secaucus Police responded to Monmouth Beach Police Dept. who had in their custody a 37yo male, Nathan Allen of East Orange who had an outstanding warrant in the amount of $410.00 from Secaucus. Mr. Allen was brought to Headquarters where he awaited transportation to Hudson County Jail.

On April 21st at 2:33pm Police responded to the Sunoco Gas Station on Route 3 East on a call of an Assault. A 52yo male, Chistian Velasquez-Tempple of Martinsburg, West Virginia was arrested for Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(7)]. Investigation on scene found there had been a dispute on the amount owed on a gas purchase and Velazsquez-Tempple punched the gas attendant in the face causing “significant bodily injury” to his nose. EMS was called to scene, where the victim was transported to Meadowlands Hospital. Mr. Velasquez-Tempple was released with a copy of his summons.

On April 23rd at 7:30 am Secaucus Police responded to Rahway Police Dept. who had in their custody a 33yo female, Tiffany King from Elizabeth on an outstanding warrant from Secaucus. Ms. King was arrested, and brought to Hudson County Jail.

On April 23rd at 8:30 am Secaucus Police responded to Weehawken Police Dept. who had in their custody a 21yo male, Justin Henriquez of Union City on an outstanding warrant from Secaucus. Mr. Henriquez was arrested, was able to post bail and released.

On April 17, 2017 Thomas Quinones, 43 of Secaucus was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. He was charged with Under the Influence [2C:35-10b] and for having an outstanding warrant out of North Bergen in the amount of $500.00. He was subsequently released on a summons.

On April 18, 2017 at9:23 pm, Arelius Ingram, 47 of Jersey City was the passenger in a vehicle stopped for parking in a Fire Zone. Since he was not wearing his seatbelt his identification was requested. After lying about his personal identifying information he was arrested and found to have an active warrant from Old Bridge in the amount of $1314.00. He was also charged with Hindering his Own Apprehension [2C:29-3b] and Failure to Wear a Seatbelt (39:3-76.2f).

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
